Anthony (Tony) Wright

Anthony (Tony) Wright

Anthony was born in Exeter, Devon, England and emigrated to Canada in 1962. He resided in Sarnia, Ontario for 22 years where he first started painting.

Initially he worked only in oils, a medium which suited him at the time because of his "newness" to art and he found them quite forgiving of mistakes.

Tony relocated to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta in 1984 and joined the Fort Art Club where he got initiated to watercolour.

Retired to Saltspring Island, B.C. in 1989 where he was a member of S.S.I. Painters Guild.

Returned to England in 1993 for a 6 year vacation where he displayed at the Walter Elliot Gallery in Braunton, North Devon.

Having come the full circle he once again resides in Sarnia!

Tony has exhibited and sold through various shows and galleries in Canada and the United Kingdom.

He enjoys and admires all artistic endeavours by other artists and finds it a joy to share their work and success.
